I have decided in the summer of 2011 to serve God in Goa, India. I have always been attracted to this country, and I have found an opportunity through an organization called Adventures In Missions to go! This fills me with excitement (and to be honest, a twinge of fear,) as I will also be exploring the possibility of further work in this or similar areas in the future. I will be traveling with a group of 11 other girls my age and we will be working with an organization there called Rahab’s Rope to teach things like English and basic health to women and children who have been taken out of forced sex-work or are at risk for being trafficked into it.
It means a lot to me that you are even taking the time to read this. I want to ask for your prayer and support as I embark on this mission. It is not going to be easy living in a foreign country for two months (June 3-August 2,) so every thought and prayer is MUCH appreciated. I also need to raise about $4500 to cover traveling and living expenses. Currently, I am financially incapable of paying that full amount. I’m asking that you would pray and only give what you feel God desires of you. I appreciate all support. I truly cannot do this alone.
